Upcoming Album: Songs of Jack Délano

Laura Virella is engaged among world renowned artists to release one of the initial albums that will mark the launch of LEXICON CLASSICS, the new strictly classical branch of EMITHA, LLC. Virella's album will introduce to the global market the art song repertoire of Ukrainian-born and Puerto Rican-adopted composer Jack Délano, which highlights the words of Puerto Rican poets, and will feature Russian-Mexican pianist Alla Milchtein and award-winning American cellist Kate Dillingham. Release date expected in 2022.

September 2021
Laura Virella was selected among the top 28 Semi-Finalist out of 250 participants in the international opera competition Corsica Lirica.

December 2020
Laura Virella appears on Inwood Art Works On Air Live N' Local, featuring a live performance of five pieces from the operatic and zarzuela repertoire, and a live chat with hosts Aaron Simms, Jonathan Bell and invited guest Gordon Ostrowski.

The emergency relief efforts of Coópera, an operatic project  with social purpose founded by Laura Virella, are featured in National Geographic's documentary Paris to Pittsburgh, as part of Casa Pueblo's solar power initiatives in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.
