Laura Virella becomes an Artist Ambassador for the Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice, the only company in the United States moving forward with a LIVE operatic performance in the Summer of 2020. The emergency relief efforts of Coópera, an operatic project with social purpose founded by Laura Virella, are featured in National Geographic's documentary Paris to Pittsburgh, as part of Casa Pueblo's solar power initiatives in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.
Laura Virella appeared with pianist Ernesto Busigó on an RTVI segment of music for essential workers. The pair presented two songs by Kiev-born Puerto Rican composer Jack Délano.
